We are aware of a network connectivity issues affecting websites on server Juno for a brief 5 minute window between 15:41 and 15:46 BST.
Websites are online currently but we are investing the cause of this issue.
We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Service has remained stable with no further issues. We now consider this incident resolved. If you are experiencing additional issues, please open a Support ticket for help.
We have identified the issue as a Denial of Service (DoS) attack, in which multiple devices attempt to overwhelm a website by opening numerous connections within a short timeframe.
Our automated firewall system detected and blocked the offending IP addresses as intended. However, there was a brief delay of approximately five minutes between halting the attack and recycling the connections, which temporarily affected normal website access.
The IP addresses involved in the DoS attack have been blocked, and we have reported them to the relevant third-party data center abuse teams.
We are actively collaborating with our security partners to enhance the speed at which connections are released and recycled, aiming to prevent similar incidents in the future.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
