We experienced a brief period of downtime due to a sustained DDoS attack on our network. While our firewall systems successfully blocked the majority of bot traffic, a small number of servers were impacted. This resulted in high CPU loads, causing intermittent performance issues on affected sites.
The attack was fully mitigated between 18:05 and 18:20 BST, and normal service has since resumed. Although DDoS attacks of this nature are beyond our control, we have already implemented additional security measures to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
